Maritime and historical artist Leo Kuschel will be the guest speaker at the Downriver Arts & Crafts Guild's upcoming meeting.
Kuschel will speak at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Southgate Veterans Memorial Library, 14680 Dix-Toledo Road.

Margaret Haley of Trenton will speak about her experience at the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders in Washington, D.C., at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Westfield Activities Center, 2700 Westfield, Trenton.
Haley attended the conference, titled "Leadership for Today and Tomorrow," courtesy of the American Association of University Women Wyandotte-Downriver and the Ann Arbor Branch of the organization.
The conference provides students with opportunities to discover and enhance leadership skills, build relationships, network for the future, and meet national experts and workplace leaders.
