The Southgate Cultural Commission will present "An Evening of Art and Entertainment" from 5 to 9 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Norma J. Wurmlinger Municipal Building, 14400 Dix-Toledo Road.
Guitarist Sam Rappa will provide musical entertainment and more than 20 artists will have their creations up for sale in the cash-and-carry event.
Members of the cultural commission will serve refreshments at the free event.

Two special exhibits will be highlighted this fall at the Arab American National Museum, 13624 Michigan Ave., Dearborn.
The SURA Arts Academy Student Photography Exhibition features more than 50 color photos taken by middle school students from southwest Detroit focusing on cultural diversity in their communities.
The exhibit runs Sept. 13 through Nov. 16 and is free with museum admission.
Utopian Visions showcases the work of four female artists living across the globe as they explore the concept of a perfect world.
Abstract and figural works, along with projected images, will encourage viewers to consider their own utopian visions and record them on a gallery wall.
The exhibit runs Sept. 25 to March 29 and is free with museum admission.
